Royal Caribbean has unveiled the new participants of its Artist Discovery Program, an initiative created to showcase local talent and introduce passengers worldwide to the art of the visited regions. For the summer debut of the new Legend of the Seas, expected in July 2026 in the Mediterranean, the company has selected six emerging artists from Mexico, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Curaçao, Trinidad and Tobago, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Specifically, they are Giovanni Abath, Vanessa Dalla Costa, Porschia Denning, Rafeal Vega Feliciano, Rodrigo Macias Maldonado, and Alexander Lopez Ryliouk.

Chosen from over 250 applicants, this creative team will produce giant murals, stainless steel sculptures, and ceramic mosaics positioned in the ship’s most visible and frequented areas, such as the embarkation area, the Royal Promenade, and the suite-only sundeck, bringing the colors, culture, and energy of their home countries onboard.

This project, which is also expanding ashore, involving no fewer than 11 local artists at the exclusive private beach club Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in Nassau, aims to create a continuous and deep connection between life on the ship and the destinations. Guests will be able to admire these splendid installations during the seven-night summer cruises between Barcelona and Civitavecchia. Starting in November 2026, the Legend of the Seas will then relocate to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to offer Western and Southern Caribbean itineraries, calling at dream destinations such as Honduras, Curaçao, and the famous private island Perfect Day at CocoCay in the Bahamas.
