NCL unveils the Great Tides Waterpark: the new waterpark at Great Stirrup Cay opens in September

Norwegian Cruise Line has revealed the first official images of Great Tides Waterpark, the new water park built on Great Stirrup Cay, the company’s private island in the Bahamas. With the official inauguration set for September 4, 2026, the facility is poised to become one of the most dynamic entertainment centers in the Caribbean. Further enriching the island experience is the completion of the new two-berth pier, which now allows NCL ships to dock directly without the need for tenders.

The park offers attractions for all tastes, starting with 19 water slides including The Great Slide, Cliffside Cove, and industry-unique dive platforms. The Splash Cay area is available for younger guests, while for those seeking relaxation, there’s the Wandering River, a lazy river enhanced with an immersive tunnel. Adults seeking tranquility can retreat to the Vibe Shore Club, an adults-only area equipped with premium loungers and a private bar.

The offering is completed with a wide choice of culinary options and themed bars: from the smoked meats at Low Tide Smoke to seafood dishes at Catch of the Cay, and artisanal desserts at Tidal Treats. To enjoy a refreshing drink throughout the day, the Grotto Bar, nestled within Cliffside Cove, and the Floataway Bar, located right in the heart of the Wandering River, will be active. As emphasized by NCL President Marc Kazlauskas, this project aims to offer a perfect day in paradise, balancing thrills, comfort, and entertainment for the whole family.
