Norwegian Cruise Line has officially opened bookings for the 2028 summer season with over 450 cruises aboard 20 ships. The new programming spans nearly 150 destinations in 51 countries with departures from 25 key ports, including Miami, Seattle, Civitavecchia, and Southampton. With itineraries designed to reduce sailing times, ships will spend approximately 80% of their time in port with average stays exceeding 10 hours and as many as 175 overnight stays or late-night departures, NCL aims to offer an even deeper immersion into the world’s most sought-after destinations.

Among the main highlights of the 2028 summer season is a wide selection of novelties and regional debuts worldwide:

  • Europe and the Mediterranean: Norwegian Jewel will debut in Morocco (Casablanca and Agadir) as part of routes between the Canary Islands and the Baltic, while Norwegian Getaway will offer itineraries in Northern Europe under the midnight sun and will call at Helsinki for the first time as a homeport. In the Mediterranean, Norwegian Dawn will introduce calls at Zadar and Cagliari for the first time, joined by Norwegian Viva, Epic, Pearl, and Star, which will cover the Greek Isles, the Atlantic, and the British Isles with very few sea days.
  • Alaska and South Pacific: Alaska will see four ships (Norwegian Encore, Bliss, Joy, and Jade) with convenient weekend departures from Seattle, glacier cruises, and Cruisetour options inland to Denali National Park. Further south, Norwegian Spirit will connect Sydney, Fiji, French Polynesia, and Hawaii with 11- to 13-day itineraries among coral reefs and turquoise lagoons.
  • Caribbean, Bahamas, and Bermuda: The Bahamas will feature the private island of Great Stirrup Cay and its new Great Tides Waterpark, served by Norwegian Aqua with short cruises from Miami. In the Caribbean, the new Norwegian Aura will debut with the Ocean Heights outdoor complex, joined by Prima, Luna, and Escape. Finally, for Bermuda, Norwegian Gem will make its debut with departures from Philadelphia, joining connections from New York with Norwegian Luna and from Boston with Norwegian Breakaway.

As highlighted by NCL President Marc Kazlauskas, booking well in advance allows passengers to secure the best cabins and benefit from seasonal promotions, including the Free at Sea package which includes open bar, specialty dining, Wi-Fi, and shore excursion credits.
