Norwegian Cruise Line has unveiled details on the new dining, relaxation, and entertainment features set to debut onboard Norwegian Aura, the company’s largest ship ever built and a new evolution of the acclaimed Prima Plus Class, currently under construction at Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera. Designed to offer maximum freedom and personalization, the ship is preparing to redefine cruise standards thanks to redesigned spaces to ensure perfect livability, visibly expanded public areas such as the Penrose Bar & Atrium, and the new outdoor Ocean Height zone, conceived for family fun with slides, an adventure course 25 meters high, and the first overwater suspended cabanas.

Wellness reaches unprecedented heights with the new Mandara Spa, a two-deck space designed by Rockwell Group. At the heart of the offering is the industry’s largest Thermal Suite, featuring 15 experiences based on the principles of hot-cold contrast therapy. Among the main attractions is the Sensory Rain Pool, the first immersive overwater pool capable of simulating tropical thunderstorms and enveloping rain with visual and sound effects, alongside innovative environments such as the Blue Glow Suite, the Snow Cave with real fresh snow, steam baths, Finnish saunas, and advanced medi-spa treatments.

The culinary offering is confirmed as one of the richest in the cruise landscape, providing 22 dining options across more than 10 different cuisines. Debuting onboard will be Tamara, the fleet’s first specialty restaurant entirely dedicated to the refined flavors of Indian tradition, alongside The Panorama Room, a complimentary main dining concept that uses LED walls and immersive technologies to transform the environment and surrounding landscapes during the meal. These are complemented by the company’s great classics, such as Le Bistro, Sukhothai, Onda by Scarpetta, and Cagney’s Steakhouse, all completely redesigned with a new aesthetic and increased capacity.

The new flagship will debut in May 2027 with an inaugural Mediterranean voyage from Trieste to Barcelona, before embarking on its transatlantic crossing to Miami. During the summer seasons of 2027 and 2028, Norwegian Aura will be engaged in seven-day Eastern Caribbean cruises with calls at Puerto Plata, St. Thomas, Tortola, and the private island of Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas, while in the winter season 2027/2028, it will offer weekly itineraries in the Western Caribbean, calling at Honduras, Mexico, and the private destination of Harvest Caye in Belize.
