Silver Shadow is the last unit in the Silversea fleet to have undergone extensive renewal. The ship has recently left the dry dock with reinvented interior spaces and a new elegant livery, which offers a two-tone design for the first time in the company’s history. Furthermore, and this is another record for the extra-luxury cruise company, works of art in the decorative crystal of the Lalique brand have been installed in the La Dame restaurant, to enrich the guests’ culinary experience.
“Silversea has evolved in recent times and we felt the need to reflect this evolution in the Silver Shadow livery – says Jose Vuolo, global creative director of Silversea – Elegant, sober, recognizable, the new aesthetic echoes the character of our line of cruise, which emphasizes the destination and the experiences of the guests. The new exterior design distinguishes Silversea in the extra-luxury segment. Silver Shadow will appear equally sophisticated both when anchored off a remote Caribbean island and in the port of a historic European city, as the appearance has been designed to match the ship with the destination”.
The other Silver Shadow updates
In addition to the look of the ship, guests will appreciate the new suites, completely renovated from floor to ceiling. Rugs, furniture, fixtures and bathrooms have been renewed; the colour scheme has changed and even the hallways have been enriched with new carpets and doors.
The decor of the La Dame restaurant has been embellished with handmade Lalique panels. Moreover, the entire restaurant on deck 7 has been expanded and now can accommodate up to 40 guests.
On deck 5, an atrium area was created with an open-plan boutique and the Arts Café, complete with a central bar counter and bright furnishings. The atrium also includes a guest relations area, with an interactive desk and a new tailor-maid cruise sales office.
Repositioned from deck 7 to deck 8, the Connoisseur’s Corner has been completely renovated too. An outdoor seating area has been created that allows guests to enjoy drinks and cigars both inside and outside. Luxurious seating and screens have created a sophisticated area.
The casino has moved from deck 5 to deck 8 and has a new layout with updated decorations.
Elsewhere, many of Silver Shadow’s public spaces have undergone renovations. These include La Terrazza, The Restaurant, Panorama Lounge, Zagara Beauty Spa & Fitness Center, Observation Library, The Bar, The Show Lounge, Card / Conference Room, the swimming pool area and the jogging track and public toilets. New outdoor furniture has enriched the pool terrace, the balconies of the suites, La Terrazza and the Panorama Lounge.
