Luxury at-sea hospitality according to Anna Nash: Explora Journeys’ first President’s Journey kicks off

“In a sector like luxury cruising, where excellence is often measured in the care of intangible details, listening and human connection must return to the heart of the travel experience”. It is with this message that Explora Journeys announced its first President’s Journey, a special itinerary that from December 9 to 16, 2026 will see brand President Anna Nash host guests aboard Explora II during a Mediterranean voyage designed by Nash herself.

Part of the winter collection A Serene Mediterranean, the President’s Journey was not conceived as “just another luxury cruise,” but to transform into a moment of sharing and dialogue on the evolution of the concept of Ocean State of Mind, the “claim” with which Explora Journeys is trying to redefine the boundaries of high-end cruising by focusing on authenticity, slow rhythms, and a more intimate relationship with the sea.

The ashore program has been structured to guarantee cruisers moments of discovery away from the most crowded tourist routes. The ship will depart from Barcelona; after a day at sea, it will dock in Gibraltar, the gateway to the Atlantic, where a tailor-made excursion is planned to lead guests through the World War II tunnels, then continuing to The Convent, the historic official residence of the Governor. Explora II will then call in Morocco, in Casablanca, with a unique overnight stay that will allow cruisers to visit La Ville Blanche until late. The program also includes a sunset aperitif at the Royal Mansour, attended by the President and selected guests. The cruise will conclude in the Canary Islands, with calls in Lanzarote and Tenerife.

Enriching the voyage will be an exceptional line-up of guests from the worlds of sport, journalism, and environmental protection. Among them are Lewis Pugh – UN Patron of the Ocean, world record-holding endurance swimmer, whose extraordinary relationship with the oceans offers a unique perspective on exploration and conservation – and Annabel Croft, former British tennis champion and renowned television personality. They will be joined by Matt Barbet, journalist and broadcaster, who will bring his expertise in storytelling and current affairs, while Gail Packer, an expert in ocean travel destinations, will offer insights gained from her vast experience in the world of sea travel.

The President’s Journey, as mentioned, is part of the broader winter program A Serene Mediterranean, scheduled from November 2026 to March 2027. This is a time of year when Mare Nostrum (the Mediterranean Sea) regains its tranquil rhythms and intimate atmosphere, allowing iconic destinations between Sicily, Tunisia, the Greek Islands, and the Iberian Peninsula to be rediscovered in an entirely new light, far from the summer crowds.
