The new session of the Champions of the Sea starts aboard the Costa Favolosa from today until May 19th which will touch SavonaMarseille and Barcelona. As an annual event, it is organized by Costa Cruises dedicated to the best travel agents and partners of the company. There will be around 1,800 guests from over 32 countries around the world, together with the Costa commercial team.

System Administrator Matteo Lorusso is also invited to attend the grand ceremony as representative of Taoticket. The Champions of the Sea 2019 is the 26th session created for the travel agents and involve them in a series of tailor-made initiatives based on their preferences together with the active participation by Costa management every year.

In the month preceding the departure of the cruise, the agents were invited to express their preferences and opinions on some topics. The responses received were the starting point for building a series of activities that will be proposed on board and on land, the contents of the “Costa meets Partners” plenary session and the main events related to fun and sharing.

The activities will get the partners involved with the Costa management to prepare the best pesto, the best tiramisu and the best cocktail, which will then be added in the bar menu of the new flagship Costa Smeralda. The champion of the best pesto will be judged by Emiliano Pescarolo, world champion of Genovese pesto with mortar. During the stopover in Barcelona, travel agents will be able to participate, together with the Costa team, in a beach volley tournament and a race. For the occasion of “Costa meets Partners”, Neil PalombaMassimo BrancaleoniGiuseppe Carino (Vice President of Guest Experience and Onboard Sales), Mario Alovisi (Vice President of Revenue Management, Itinerary Design & Transportation) and Paolo Tolle (Vice President Human Resources) will show on the stage of the theater, .

The award ceremony will be conducted by Maddalena Corvaglia. The group of Spanish artists and musicians “Music Has No Limits” will perform during the evening. Another special guest will be Bruno Barbieri, who will present a preview of the new menu designed for Costa guests to be served on the company’s ships right from May. There will also be a pool party “Extra-vaganza”, to which guests are invited to participate by showing off an elegant but extravagant look. The set up of the evening will be extravagant with fluorescent lights and 40 ice-made counters for the buffet.
