Allure of the Seas Will Return to the Mediterranean with New Look

Now it`s the time for Allure of the Seas. The ship is the second Oasis Class unit of the Royal Caribbean International that will be refurbished again thanks to Royal Amplified, the company’s billionaire program for the modernization of seven ships by 2021. It will take 58 days and an investment of 165 million of dollars for the refurbishment.

In the spring of 2020, the renewed Allure of the Seas will return to Europe by offering 7-night cruises in the western Mediterranean departing from Barcelona, including Palma de Mallorca, Marseille, Provence, Florence/Pisa (La Spezia), Rome (Civitavecchia) and Naples/Capri. The first scheduled departure from Barcelona is May 10, 2020.

What`s New on Board of Allure of the Seas

In the Pool & Sports Zone, you can choose between adrenaline-pumping activities like the ten-story slide The Ultimate Abyss, the tallest slide at sea; The Perfect Storm with three water slides (Typhoon, Cyclone and Supercell), the Splashaway Bay water park for children, with pools, slides and water cannons.

There will also be the renovated Pool Deck, with The Lime & Coconut bar and a series of seating areas, cabañas, hammocks and an adult-only solarium.

Children can participate in numerous activities in the Adventure Ocean, try interactive games in the arena, engage in science and technology in the Workshop and create geometric shapes that can be scaled to the Play Place.

AO Babies is the space for the little ones and AO Junior is dedicated to children from 3 to 5 years. Teenagers can choose between a dedicated area with consoles, music, movies and an outdoor deck where they can socialize; also for them is the Glow-in-the-dark laser battle and the Royal Escape Room-Apollo 18: Lunar Landing, a timed game where participants have to solve some puzzles to get out of the room.

Lots of food and wine opportunities, starting with the new Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar with a menu of Italian specialties, such as handmade pizza, as well as tasting of hams and cured meats and a large wine and limoncello cellar.

Portside BBQ will serve the menu inspired by American barbecues; Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade is ideal for a drink following your favorite athletes on the numerous giant screens. El Loco Fresh offers Mexican street food. Sugar Beach has up to 220 types of candy and ice cream. Finally, at the Bionic Bar by Mark Shakr, two mechanical robots prepare and shake cocktails for customers.

For the nightlife on board of Allure of the Seas comes Music Hall, a successful location already on the Quantum Class, which offers live music, space for dancing, Karaoke Spotlight, bar with stage to perform, private rooms where you can choose to sing among thousands of songs. During the cruise there will be theme nights.
