World Cruise MSC 2020

World Cruise MSC, from Genoa: Around the World in 117 Days

The cruise passengers who chose to travel around the world with MSC Cruises sailed from Genoa on past January 5. The World Cruise aboard MSC Magnifica is the second made by the company. Guests will travel for 117 days, visit 43 different destinations on 5 continents and will also experience a real gastronomic journey thanks to a unique international menu and the ten award-winning chefs from all over the world: Italian, Spanish, Brazilian, Argentine, Colombian, Peruvian, Hawaiian, Chinese, Indian and German.

The stages range from Ushuaia in Argentina to Valparaiso in Chile, from Callao / Lima in Peru to Rarotonga (Cook Islands), New Zealand, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Bali, India and Jordan, with a visit to Petra.

«After the great success of the first World Cruise, which left Genoa, exactly one year ago, we are happy to have greeted the departure of the second world tour by MSC Cruises – said Gianni Pilato, North West area manager of MSC Cruises – Although itineraries change every year, Genoa remains the city of departure and arrival. In fact, even in 2021 and 2022 the World Cruise will depart from the city of the lantern and this testifies to the strategic role that this city plays for our company. A choice that is highly appreciated; the sales of the World Cruise 2021 are bringing excellent results and from a month it is possible to book the World Cruise 2022: a 117-day trip keeps departing from Genoa and always on January 5 to discover 43 destinations and 24 different nations aboard MSC Poesia».

Starred chefs are onboard to prepare special menus created specifically for the guests and personally welcome the cruise passengers who will go to try their dishes and who will have the opportunity to attend their live cooking session. There will be Ramón Freixa, (two Michelin stars), Allan Vila Espejo, Christophe Krywonis, Jorge Rausch, James Berckemeyer, Roy Yamaguchi, Sydney Morning Herald, Serge Dansereau, Jereme Leung, Vikas Khanna (one Michelin star) and Harald Wohlfahrt (three stars Michelin).

Those who want to travel the world on a cruise can now book one of the last cabins available for the departure of 2021 or choose January 2022 directly.
