Explora Journeys appoints Cristina Ozores godmother of Explora III

On the occasion of World Oceans Day, Explora Journeys announced the appointment of Cristina Ozores, a renowned marine educator, dive instructor, and National Geographic collaborator, as the godmother of Explora III. This choice also reflects the company’s ecological values: Explora III will indeed be the first unit in the fleet powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG). The brand’s president, Anna Nash, emphasized how Ozores’ dedication to marine conservation perfectly aligns with the company’s philosophy. For her part, the new godmother expressed her excitement for this role, hoping that the ship can help passengers connect more deeply with the beauty and fragility of the oceans.

The official christening ceremony is scheduled for August 1st in the port of Barcelona. Just two days later, on August 3rd, Explora III will set sail for its journey exploring the Norwegian fjords, Iceland, and Greenland, before crossing the Atlantic Ocean with autumn routes bound for New England and the East Coast of Canada.
