Nassau Cruise Port (NCP) set a new historical record by welcoming a remarkable **33,254 passengers** on a single day, June 8, 2026. The tourists arrived simultaneously aboard six large cruise ships: Oasis of the Seas, Allure of the Seas, Mardi Gras, Carnival Celebration, Caribbean Princess, and Disney Fantasy. This achievement surpasses the port’s previous record, set on March 11, 2025, with 30,538 visitors, by approximately 8.9%.

Mike Maura Jr., CEO and Port Director of Nassau, expressed great satisfaction in a press release, emphasizing **that exceeding the 33,000 passenger mark** confirms the strength of The Bahamas as a premier tourist destination and the confidence of cruise lines. Maura also added that this achievement is the result of investments made over time to increase the facility’s capacity and operational efficiency.

The milestone also represents a significant boost for the island’s local economy: high-traffic days like this directly support a wide network of Bahamian businesses, including shopkeepers, restaurants, tour operators, artisans, taxi drivers, artists, and downtown tourist agencies, all of whom directly benefit from the flow and spending of cruise passengers.
