South America 2027: Costa Cruises’ “Sea Destinations” arrive in Brazil

admin il 10 August 2026

After the success achieved in the Mediterranean and Northern Europe, Costa Cruises’ Sea Destinations format is set to debut in South America from the beginning of 2027. Designed to transform sailing moments into truly immersive experiences where the ship becomes an integral part of the landscape, these special experiences will make their debut aboard Costa Serena along routes between Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay. The program will feature the introduction of two events dedicated to the charm of the Brazilian coast: the Ocean Skyline Party in Camboriú Bay, a glamorous gala party organized on the open deck as the ship sails past the city’s impressive skyscrapers, and the evocative stop in Copacabana Bay, a true collective sunset ritual. On this latter occasion, Costa Serena will anchor off Rio de Janeiro beach, treating guests to the captivating rhythms of Carioca music and spectacular views of Sugarloaf Mountain during the golden hour.

Engaged alongside Costa Diadema in the 2026/2027 South American season, the ship will offer a diverse series of 3 to 9-night itineraries with strategic embarkations from Buenos Aires, Montevideo, and Rio de Janeiro itself. In addition to traditional stops at natural paradises like Ilha Grande, Ilhabela, and Punta del Este, Costa Serena will also confirm its iconic positioning off Copacabana for New Year’s Eve, offering a privileged view of the extraordinary fireworks display of the Brazilian New Year. With this strategic move, the cruise company further enhances its onboard offering for international and local clientele, reaffirming the centrality of the sea as a privileged travel destination.
