Princess Cruises opens sales for the 2028 Alaska season: featuring 185 cruises and new land tours

Princess Cruises has officially opened bookings for its 2028 Alaska season, deploying a fleet of eight ships, including the new Star Princess, with 185 departures across 14 different itineraries. Building on nearly sixty years of experience in the region, the company will offer voyages ranging from four to 16 days with strategic embarkation points from Seattle, Vancouver, Anchorage (Whittier), San Francisco, and Los Angeles. The program will allow guests to visit 16 destinations and includes 86 calls at Glacier Bay National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, in addition to the traditional Voyage of the Glaciers routes and Inside Passage journeys.

The true strength of Princess’s offering lies in the integration of sea and land through its award-winning Cruisetours. Guests will be able to combine their cruise with stays at five Princess-owned lodges located near Denali, Kenai, and Wrangell-St. Elias National Parks. Internal transfers will be served by the panoramic Direct-to-the-Wilderness trains, featuring glass-domed railcars to admire the scenery during the direct journey between the port of Whittier and the Denali area.

Onboard and ashore, the experience will be enhanced by the “North to Alaska” themed program, designed to introduce guests to local culture and nature through regional gastronomy, encounters with Alaskan natives, and family activities (such as the incredible meeting with sled dog puppies in the ship’s Piazza). From fishing excursions with a “Cook My Catch” option to whale watching outings and salmon fishing in the Kenai River, the 2028 program aims to offer a complete immersion into Alaska’s wild spirit.
