Silversea sets sail for the Grand South Pacific Expedition 2026 aboard Silver Cloud

Silversea has officially inaugurated the Grand South Pacific Expedition 2026, a 77-day expedition aboard Silver Cloud, which departed from Fremantle (Perth), Western Australia, and is bound for Valparaiso, Chile, where its arrival is scheduled for November 4, 2026. The itinerary will call at 57 destinations in 11 countries, simultaneously concluding the summer exploration season in the Kimberley region to venture into the heart of the Pacific Ocean amidst coral reefs, volcanic islands, and remote territories.

The journey unfolds through four main segments: from Fremantle to Darwin along the Gwion Gwion rock art galleries and the Montgomery Reef barriers; from Darwin to Lautoka (Fiji) traversing Raja Ampat, Papua New Guinea, and Vanuatu; from Lautoka to Papeete (Tahiti) among the lagoons of the Cook Islands and Bora Bora; and finally from Papeete to Valparaiso with stops in the Marquesas Islands, Pitcairn (to meet the descendants of the Bounty mutineers), and Easter Island. Accompanying guests throughout the entire journey is a team of expert naturalists, historians, and certified Zodiac pilots.

The itinerary also includes two cultural events created exclusively for passengers: the helicopter and off-road exploration of Finniss River Lodge in Darwin and the Toki, A Hope for the Future event on Easter Island, which includes a concert by pianist Mahani Teave and the hoko warrior dance. With the Kimberley season concluded (which saw 10 expeditions between May and September), the brand is preparing for its next long-range itineraries, starting with the 50-day Grand Mediterranean 2026 from Lisbon to Athens aboard Silver Spirit.
