Holland America Line has officially opened bookings for its 2028 Alaska cruises, solidifying a historic presence in the territory that has lasted over 80 years. The new program will feature six ships from the fleet, including Oosterdam, Noordam, Eurodam, Koningsdam, Westerdam, and Zaandam, with a wide range of itineraries lasting between 7 and 18 days. Cruises will depart from the ports of Seattle, Vancouver, San Diego, and Whittier, combining iconic glacier explorations with a deep immersion in nature and local cultures.

Among the season’s highlights is the Alaska debut of Oosterdam following the impressive restyling work planned under the Holland America Evolution program, which will introduce dedicated single traveler accommodations, panoramic Bridgeview Suites, and the distinctive Grand Dutch Café onboard. The ship will also serve as a centerpiece for the renowned Cruisetours that combine cruising with land extensions to Denali and the Yukon.

The new program will range from classic weekly itineraries to grand long-range explorations. Among the latter, an 11-day itinerary from San Diego to Vancouver aboard Zaandam stands out, along with Noordam’s 14-day Great Alaska Explorer voyage, and the grand 18-day expedition into the Great Bear Rainforest. Onboard, the experience will be enriched by the presence of National Park Service biologists, over 200 wildlife-focused excursions, and the Destination Dining™ culinary program, centered on fresh seafood and local specialties.
