Silversea concludes its 2026 Alaska season and looks ahead to 2027

Silversea has concluded its 2026 season in Alaska after completing a total of 30 cruises, between May 14 and September 3, aboard Silver Moon and Silver Whisper. The two ultra-luxury units, among the most intimate sailing in the region, accompanied their guests along the Inside Passage through seven-night itineraries between Vancouver and Seward. The program called at 14 embarkation and call ports, alternating iconic destinations like Juneau and Skagway with less frequented stops such as Metlakatla and Klawock, offering exclusive excursions including helicopter flights with glacier dog sledding, kayak navigations, and panoramic rides aboard reserved vintage rail cars.

Silversea President, Bert Hernandez, highlighted how the ships’ smaller size ensured privileged access to even the most hidden corners of the territory. Among the strategic novelties of the year was the central inauguration in June of the new Dale R. and Carol Ann Lindsey Alaska Railroad Terminal in Seward, developed in partnership with the Royal Caribbean group. The new facility features a floating dock with shore power support and offers a direct railway connection, simplifying the use of land extension packages to Denali National Park.

The company is already looking ahead to the 2027 season, which will kick off on May 27 and run until early September with 29 new cruises. Future itineraries will include scenic passages in Tracy Arm Fjord and Sawyer Glacier, while keeping classics like Hubbard Glacier on the schedule. The land-based offerings for next summer will also be enriched with dedicated experiences, including sport fishing sessions in Ketchikan, rafting descents in Keystone Canyon in Valdez, and scenic flights combined with typical wild salmon lunches at Taku Lodge in Juneau.
