Carnival Cruise Line opens bookings for Carnival Tropicale

Carnival Cruise Line has officially opened bookings for Carnival Tropicale, the new fleet unit that will complete the Excel class. To celebrate the start of sales and the progress of work at the MEYER WERFT shipyard in Papenburg, the company and the shipyard’s management organized a western-themed party, a tribute to the ship’s future homeport.

Starting April 15, 2028, the ship will debut in the Texan port of Galveston, displaying the distinctive Texas Star on its bow. From there, the new flagship will offer four-to-eight-day itineraries to the Caribbean, Mexico, and the Bahamas, calling at popular destinations like Progreso and Nassau and including the company’s private Paradise Collection destinations, such as Celebration Key, RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay, Isla Tropicale, and Puerta Maya.

Carnival Tropicale will introduce new entertainment options starting with Sunsation Point, a large multi-level family area that will host the Carnival WaterWorks Ultra water park, featuring six slides, including the new SunSoaker and Racing Currents. Leisure offerings will be enhanced by the Route 66-inspired Fairway 66 mini-golf, the Treehouse Adventure Trail, and The Vault Retrocade vintage arcade, ensuring both daytime and evening activities.

Dining will also be revamped with The Next Course program, introducing international gastronomic concepts such as the Hawaiian-Asian restaurant Uku Lei Lei, the Fetaccine venue dedicated to Greek and Italian flavors, and Emeril’s Coastal Seafood, signed by chef and Chief Culinary Officer Emeril Lagasse. The stylistic theme of the interiors and shows will instead be inspired by the golden age of show business, with further details and novelties to be progressively unveiled in the coming months.
