MSC Cruises repositions MSC Euribia to the Canary Islands and Madeira for winter 2027-28

MSC Cruises has announced that MSC Euribia will spend the 2027-2028 winter season between the Canary Islands and Madeira, offering seven-night itineraries dedicated to sunshine and the discovery of six island destinations. The deployment of the ship marks the fourth consecutive season of the program in the region and consolidates the company’s long-term commitment to the archipelago. As emphasized by CEO Gianni Onorato, the use of one of the fleet’s most modern ships will allow for an increase in accommodation capacity and offer a renewed onboard experience, while also bringing a constant economic benefit to port communities, tour operators, and local tourism businesses during the winter months.

The weekly program will offer four embarkation ports to choose from: Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Funchal, Arrecife, and Santa Cruz de La Palma. The cruises will allow guests to explore the historical architecture of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the golden beaches of Fuerteventura, the port of Funchal in Madeira, the volcanic landscapes of Lanzarote, and the capital Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, with a full day at sea dedicated to relaxation. The itinerary combines nature, culture, and local gastronomy, positioning itself as an ideal choice for those seeking a mild climate in the heart of the European winter.

On board, guests will find the ship’s iconic spaces, starting with the Galleria Euribia, the covered promenade with a giant LED screen surrounded by shops, bars, and specialty restaurants. The offering includes extensive family facilities with one of the largest water parks in the fleet, in addition to the exclusive luxury area of the MSC Yacht Club. Environmentally, the ship remains among the most advanced in the group: powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), the unit integrates shore power readiness, advanced wastewater treatment systems, and energy efficiency technologies aimed at reducing emissions.

Concurrent with the repositioning of MSC Euribia, the company has confirmed that MSC Fantasia will take over the current Western Mediterranean route. The ship will offer weekly itineraries departing from Barcelona with calls in Marseille, Genoa, Naples, Palermo, and La Goulette in Tunisia, providing the option of embarkation from various Italian and European ports. Bookings for both 2027-2028 winter programs will officially open on September 28th.
