Silversea reorganizes its onboard accommodations into four new categories from 2027

Silversea has introduced a new classification for its ultra-luxury fleet, reorganizing the 17 existing suite types into four distinct categories: Oceanview, Veranda, Residence, and Villa. The new classification, bookable from September 16, 2026, and operational for voyages departing from January 1, 2027, aims to enhance service personalization while maintaining the unchanged basic all-inclusive offering, which includes a dedicated butler, 24-hour in-suite dining, beverages, Wi-Fi, and gratuities. The Oceanview and Veranda categories group accommodations with large panoramic windows or private balconies, while the Residence and Villa categories identify larger options with separate living and sleeping areas or large private terraces.

For guests in higher categories, an enhanced benefits package signed by Silversea President, Bert Hernandez, will debut. Those staying in Residence suites will benefit from priority boarding on classic cruises and early access to spa bookings (210 days before departure) and onboard restaurant reservations (150 days prior). Villa suite travelers will receive even more extensive benefits, including private transfers for those purchasing flights with the company, early suite access on departure day, and the option to extend their stay onboard with active services until the ship departs the final port.

The Villa level will also introduce private consultations with the onboard chef, head sommelier, and spa manager, along with priority support for planning excursions, flights, and land stays. The in-suite experience will be enhanced with Technogym workout kits, dedicated tasting moments featuring whisky, cigars, caviar, and champagne, and a private tea time service. Finally, on expedition cruises, Villa suite guests will have priority access to kayak sessions, the freedom to choose their Zodiac landing group, and the opportunity to discover onboard operations alongside expedition experts.
