Norwegian Cruise Line opens sales for Norwegian Bella: Mediterranean debut in 2028

Norwegian Cruise Line has officially opened bookings for its new flagship, Norwegian Bella, which will debut in May 2028 with seven-night Western Mediterranean itineraries departing from Barcelona. The ship will offer stops at some of Europe’s top destinations, including Rome, Florence, Salerno, Marseille, and Palma de Mallorca. Built by Fincantieri, with a length of approximately 344 meters and a gross tonnage of 170,000 tons, Norwegian Bella will join its sister ship Norwegian Aura as one of the largest vessels in the fleet, marking the culmination of the Prima class.

Onboard, the open-air complex Ocean Heights will debut, spanning decks 18 to 21, featuring competitive water slides like the Eclipse Racers, the Bella Free Fall body slide, and The Wave, as well as the renowned ten-deck dry slide The Drop. The area will also include a suspended ropes course, a nine-hole mini-golf course, and the Moon Climber adventure area. Strolling along Ocean Boulevard on Deck 8, guests will find expanded spaces with hot tubs, bars, and the Infinity Beach area with infinity pools overlooking the sea, complemented by areas dedicated to children of all ages such as Little Explorers’ Cay, Adventure Alley, and the teen lounge Surf’s Bay.

The main pool deck will be 15% larger than on previous ships in the same class and will feature a large LED screen, the Kids’ Aqua Park, and family slides like The Party Slide and Infinity Loop. For adults, the exclusive Vibe Beach Club will be available, equipped with a solarium, daybeds, and dedicated hot tubs. Aesthetically, the ship’s hull will be adorned by Australian artist George Rose, known for her botanical murals and visually striking color and graphic compositions.

Regarding accommodations, the ship will feature nearly 2,000 staterooms, in addition to the luxury complex The Haven by Norwegian. Designed by Piero Lissoni and located at the aft, this exclusive access area will include 159 suites, a solarium with an infinity pool, an outdoor sauna and cold room, an exclusive restaurant, and a lounge bar, all supported by 24-hour butler and concierge service.
