There is great anticipation for what is considered the largest event ever organized in the Arab world, with a forecast of 25 million visits from all over the world: we are talking about Expo Dubai 2020, the Universal Exhibition to be held in the United Arab Emirates from 20 October 2020 to 10 April 2021.
The event also involves cruise lines. MSC Cruises is the official dealer of tickets for the universal exhibition.
Guests of two ships of Gianluigi Aponte’s fleet – MSC Lirica and MSC Seaview, which will be positioned in the Gulf during the Expo – will have the opportunity to take part in the event.
Particularly, MSC Lirica will stop in Dubai in winter 2020 with 7-night cruises that leave every Sunday for Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, the oasis Sir Bani Yas Island off the coast of the capital and Muscat, in Oman, before returning to Dubai. Those who will cruise on MSC Lirica – from November 15 2020 to April 10 2021 – will have the cost of admission to Expo 2020 included in the cruise ticket.
Cruise passengers will also be able to benefit of free shuttles available from the Dubai’s port to Expo 2020 and vice versa, in addition to receiving a “smart queue” voucher that will give you the opportunity to quickly access three pavilions. The excursion will allow guests to discover all that the largest salon in the world will have to offer.
As for MSC Lirica, visits to the Expo will take place on Saturdays and Mondays and will include the entrance ticket to the universal exhibition and round-trip transfers. Once onboard, guests can contact the Shorex team to confirm the day of the excursion.
MSC Seaview will also be present in the Gulf in winter 2020 and in this case guests of the ship will be able to purchase in advance – as well as onboard – the official packages for the universal exhibition and dedicated land connections. Seaview will stop in Dubai on Saturday and then in Abu Dhabi, Sir Bani Yas Island, Bahrain and Doha before returning to Dubai where guests can visit Expo 2020 on Friday.
