MSC Seashore 2021

MSC Seashore, coin ceremony for the greatest ship built in Italy

It will be the greatest and most technologically advanced ship – even in terms of environmental sustainability – built in Italy. MSC Crociere and Fincantieri have revelled the news of MSC Seashore during the coin ceremony, in the Fincantieri’s shipyard of Monfalcone.

This maritime tradition ceremony – in which are placed two coins under the keel block of the new ship to bless the future of it – was an opportunity to talk about the Seashore, which will be long 339 meters and will become the new flagship of the fleet.

The ship will enter in service on June 2021 and will be the first of the two ships of the “Seaside Evo” class. Its futuristic design will make it unique in the world, and it will also be equipped with latest-generation systems for nitrogen oxide reduction, wastewater treatment, exhaust gas cleaning, waste management and many other technologies to minimize environmental impact.

“The ceremony marks another milestone in the built of one of our most innovative and technological ships ever in Italy – said Pierfrancesco Vago, executive chairman of MSC Cruises – Seashore will be equipped with the latest and most advanced environmental technology currently available on the market “.

The ship is based on the innovative prototype of the “Seaside” class with a futuristic design and unique features that allow guests to be in constant contact with the sea, such as the Bridge of Sighs, panoramic lifts and glass floor walkways. More than 40% of the ship’s spaces have been redesigned and implemented, making MSC Seashore an evolution of the twin ships MSC Seaside and MSC Seaview.

“The start of the works for” MSC Seashore “, until now the largest ship under construction in Italy, is a source of great satisfaction for us because it is the symbol of “Evo”, a successful project for our Group, that innovates the already futuristic “Seaside”, a concept that gave birth to the two units broadly welcomed by the market – said Giuseppe Bono, Fincantieri’s managing director – This is a real challenge from a structural and managerial point of view, which increases the impressive workload for the construction site and the territory. We are therefore very pleased to celebrate a day like this, which seals the fruitful collaboration with MSC Cruises. We are sure that many more will follow. “

Some new features of this ship are instantly visible, like the 16 meters plus, which results in 200 additional cabins.

The exclusive area of the MSC Yacht Club on Seashore is even larger and the new stern lounge shall include two decks. The luxury area will offer two new categories of cabins: 41 Grand Suite Deluxe and 2 Owner’s Suites with jacuzzi.

The interior architecture of the ship has been redesigned with two recreation areas positioned at bow and center of the ship, as well and new specific arrangements to easier the passenger flows. In all the ship has an additional 10 square meters of space compared to the twin ships, for a more comfortable and spacious onboard experience. MSC Seashore has in over 28 suites with terrace and two suites with private jacuzzi. A brand-new design also for the cabins: such as for the multiples, dedicated to families that can be adjoined cabins to accommodate from six to ten people; moreover, 75 spacious and larger cabins will be available for disabled guests.

Two new restaurants have also been opened, while the five themed restaurants have been repositioned with outdoor seating with stunning sea views.

MSC Seashore also has a new hall for shows and entertainment located on two decks, a larger casino and 20 themed bars. The ship features a new stern area design, a larger indoor pool and a new interactive water park. Two distinct areas have also been created for clubs dedicated to children and teenagers with an even more spacious baby club area in the middle.

The ship features the latest technology customer focused, including Zoe, the world’s first virtual cruise assistant, to serve each cabin.
